The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2014 with an initial sanctioned strength of 60. It is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. The primary focus of the department is to become a centre of excellence in the field of Civil Engineering and to create outstanding engineers with advanced teaching techniques and learning aids for undergraduate students.
The principal educational objective of our departmentis to train students in both theory and practice for designing safe, innovative, ecologically conservative civil engineering structures (green buildings), with excellent quality to fit to conquer tomorrow's technology at global level. Students are made to gain practical experience from field visits to industries, dams and irrigation structures, construction sites, etc.
All the classrooms are well furnished with LCD projector facility. The department has full-fledged laboratories with latest machines and instruments to support the syllabi and promote research & consultancy.
The department provides a right kind of environment for the students to groom themselves for a challenging near future. Students are not only made experts in technical aspects but also in interpersonal skills, which form a vital ingredient to excel in the fast-paced world.
