One among the first three departments to be established in 1995 in the institute, the Mechanical Engineering Department of AAMEC has had the reputation of being among the finest in the Cauvery delta region and is dedicated towards the advancement of technology and science in rural area.
Keeping itself up to date with the recent developments in the mechanical engineering field and with highly qualified and experienced faculty members in all streams of mechanical engineering, the department consistently strives to provide best in class research facilities with ANSYS Centre of Excellence. An interactive relationship is maintained between the students and core industry experts this will be used to enhance the strong and sound foundation for students in the practical industrial stream. This is also mirrored in our campus placement which has been 70% year after year with our students getting placed in the best industrial houses of the country. About 15% of our students proceed to universities abroad to pursue their higher education.

Well Equipped Laboratories such as CAD Lab, CAM Lab, Machine shop, Mechatronics Lab, Dynamics Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Lab, Metrology and Measurement Lab, Internal Combustion Engines Lab, Steam Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, Engineering Practices Lab, Research & Development Lab and ISHRAE Showcase Lab.
Latest Software such as CREO 3, ANSYS CFD 18.0, ANSYS FEA 18.0, ANSYS 12.0, Solid edge V16.0, Autodesk Inventor Series 5.0, CAM 2013, AutoCAD 2017etc.
